Challenge
The design team at CDH had custom millwork built to meet the daily demands of design work in their previous space, but in their new space they wanted something more adaptable, so the pursuit of the perfect work environment began. CDH needed to:
- Find work surfaces large enough for architectural drawings
- Complement modern European interior accents
Solution
Kimball Office's Xsite workstations with their eclectic blend of metal, glass, and fabric offered form, function and euro-chic flair. Private office structures incorporated the same surface materials, for an integrated, architectural look throughout. Pieces chosen include:
- Xsite workstations
- Footprint worksurfaces
- LF Series filing
- Delano lounge seating
Results
"This is our first big project done with Xsite and it's definitely a showcase," said Paulla Shetterly, CDH's Director of Interior Design. "We had looked at all the work stations out there, all the newest, latest and greatest, but we hadn't seen anything like Xsite. We liked that we could combine metal with glass and wood trim and two contrasting fabrics."
