Design Challenge
Frank Howard Allen Realtors wanted to maximize the functional layout and storage
capacity within their offices, while providing privacy and a feeling of spaciousness
for their employees. They required a system that was adaptable, and they wanted
a "customized" look and feel. Existing light maple building finishes had to be considered,
and a sleek, clean aesthetic that would enhance their corporate image was desired.
The Kimball Office Solution
Kimball Office TRAXX®, and the Xsite system combined to provide the
perfect solution. Wall mounted Traxx allowed the existing structural walls to gain
the functionality of panels, retaining valuable square footage in open plan areas
and private offices by avoiding the panel/wall redundancy typical with other systems.
Placing tiles independent of the Xsite structure allowed a segmented effect on the
inside of the panel to accommodate work tools and power/data tiles, while maintaining
a clean monolithic look on the outside of the station.
The scalable structure of the Xsite system allowed adjustability in three-inch width
increments maximizing the utilization of floor space. Xsite Traxx permitted components
to be horizontally supported anywhere. This off-module placement of storage components
dramatically increased the flexibility of the design.
Product Specifications: XsiteTM system (Fabric tiles: Repetition Reed;
