JASPER, IN (May 14, 2007) -- Kimball International, Inc. (NASDAQ: KBALB) has announced the hiring and appointment of Jeff Fenwick to the position of Vice President of Marketing for the Company's Kimball Office brand. Fenwick joins the Company from ASSA ABLOY, where he served as Vice President, Door Group Brands. As Vice President of Marketing, Fenwick will assume responsibility for the marketing organization and the achievement of Kimball Office brand goals, including support and oversight of the brand’s strategic direction and growth objectives.

Fenwick already has a solid understanding of the office furniture industry. He originally joined Kimball in August of 2001 as Vice President of Marketing for flexcel, the Company's contract manufacturing operations, and assumed responsibility for new business development and the achievement of flexcel sales goals. He left the Company in June 2006 and joined ASSA ABLOY, the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of door opening solutions and security.

Fenwick, 47, spent 17 years with Ingersoll-Rand, advancing through sales management and holding both the National and International Sales Manager positions, before becoming Marketing Manager and then General Manager, Strategic Business for one of the company's divisions. He and wife Mary and their two children reside in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Fenwick received his undergraduate degree in History and English from Illinois State University. He obtained a Masters of Science degree in Management from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, graduating with high honors. He also earned a certification as an Office Ergonomic Specialist in 2001 from North Carolina State University, in Raleigh.
