Jasper, Ind. - January 10, 2007 - Kimball Office has appointed three new members to its sales team in Philadelphia.
Christopher E. Burke has been named Business Development Manager for Kimball Office, assuming responsibility
for generating new business opportunities and increasing the company's brand awareness in the Philadelphia
market. He is experienced in the contract furniture industry, with an established record of business development
and sales success. Mr. Burke thrived in a diverse range of sales and management roles, and was proficient in
developing strategic selling strategies as an account executive with Advanced Office Environments.
Laura A. Sloane has accepted the role of A&D Business Development Manager with overall responsibility
for nurturing relationships with the architectural and design community. Ms. Sloane brings extensive
marketing experience to Kimball Office, having held a variety of sales and management positions in the
office furniture and health care industries. She joins Kimball Office from Advanced Office Environments,
where she generated significant new business opportunities and established strong relationships with key
clients as an account manager.
Lawrence J. Hlavenka has been appointed District Account Manager. His responsibilities include new business
growth, dealer team building, and customer account management. A 22-year veteran of the contract furniture
industry, Mr. Hlavenka has a proven record of achievement. His sales and marketing experience includes
positions with Allsteel, Haworth, and most recently, United Stationers Supply Company, the largest wholesaler
of office products in the country.
