Hum complements and extends the Kimball Office portfolio because it's designed from an understanding
of how people work. Hum recognizes that different workplaces have different needs. People need
spaces that reflect their own working style, and Hum allows everyone to organize their mind in their
own way. In addition to creating environments that match how people's minds work, Hum offers a
broad range of open plan and private office configurations based on various combinations of
personal workspaces, screens, and terraces.
Hum's simple contemporary look features personal workspaces with height-adjustable, convex table
tops that balance the needs of the individual with those of the team. This balance enables smooth transitions
from solo work to group work. The unorthodox shape is the result of observing how people work
together - we huddle. The outward curve on the front edge invites collaboration. Hum also includes
customizable storage modules, and a broad variety of material options, including wool felt, composite
veneer, metal, and laminate.
Hum is designed to impact the environment positively. It is strong and durable for a long life, has significant
recycled content, uses plantation-grown wood and low-energy consumption LED lights, and is easily taken
apart for recycling. The Hum product is certified to meet the USGBC LEED Indoor Air Quality
requirements. Hum works for the environment.
