In addition, such alliances enable us to meet the MWBE participation requirements of our key customers. This Diversity Strategy reflects a shared commitment between our businesses, our corporate centers, and our MWBE suppliers to achieve our goals.

In 2008, the Kimball Furniture group purchased approximately 1.5% of our total procurement in goods and services from minority and women owned businesses. In Fiscal Year 2009, we launch our Kimball Office program with the goal of increasing our purchases to 3.0 percent of total procurement by 2010 and ultimately to achieve 5 percent MWBE participation by 2013.

As we move forward with our strategies and action plans to ensure Kimball Office’s leadership in our industry, we must continue to focus our support on MWBE Business Development Initiative.”
