Kimball Office Connects Technology and Craft Through New Furniture Solutions
Kimball Office, a leader in sustainable commercial furniture products, today unveils a number of furniture collections that tell a story in every space. Featuring high-level concepts in workplace design and the integration of technology in its latest solutions, the newest collections are on display at the company’s Chicago showroom, located just outside the Merchandise Mart at 325 North Wells Street. The showroom is open daily Monday, June 11th through Wednesday, June 13th starting at 8:00 am during North America’s largest design exposition for commercial interiors, which is held annually. In addition, furniture technology demonstrations will be conducted throughout the showroom.
“This year’s showroom blends our rich tradition of craft with creative elements from various regional artisans, along with innovate material applications, to deliver the distinct Kimball Office brand experience,” said Mike Wagner, president of Kimball Office. “Our interior design partners also expect the most forward-thinking solutions from Kimball Office. Therefore, we have integrated state-of-the-art workplace technology aimed at solving some of the most challenging issues for today’s modern, flexible workspace.”
Tell Your Story
This year, attendees will experience a range of vignettes centered on solutions that incorporate components that help brands tell their story. Kimball Office presents workplace solutions that encourage designers to express a client’s unique personality through blending of space, structure and materials. With this in mind, the showroom design and experience reinforces the Kimball Office brand story of co-mingling technology and craft.
Narrate, one of the showcase collections, highlights the evolution of the Kimball Office brand as an innovative leader. Breaking from tradition of mainstream panel systems, Narrate contributes to the expression of the brand’s personality as well as providing designers with customizable end panels, easy integration of technology and configurations that work in today’s environments. Kimball Office enlisted artisans to create unique panel components illustrating the range of custom capabilities the Narrate collection offers. Visual storytelling is epitomized through the artists’ renditions of these inventive custom components.
“The workspace is in a constant state of evolution, and today - more than ever - the design process is critical in every step of creating today’s modern, flexible environments,” said Wendy Murray, director of Brand at Kimball Office. “Our team is creating furniture and workplace solutions that provide designers with the components they need to create innovative workspaces, while giving clients a unique platform to portray their brand story.”
Design Hub: Redefining the Showroom Experience
Kimball Office’s Design Hub, a dynamic working lab within the showroom, redefines the showroom experience for designers and end users and introduces new ways of working in today’s desire for flexible workspaces. A creative center where designers can connect with each other, discover new products and experiment with ideas, the Design Hub provides the design community with access to a true creative environment and flexible space that serves as an extension of their own office.
